Hi, there! Welcome to my little corner booth of the internet! My name's Nikki. I am a very liberal individual; I believe in human rights, and I try to do everything in my power to promote them in realistic ways. I am quite opinionated, and I tend to share my opinions with most of the people I meet. I will not apologize for those opinions, but I will certainly listen to and be entirely respectful of your own opinions whether I agree or not. I am a generally loud, eccentric, bossy, but friendly person, and I am very passionate about my life and the lives of the people in it.

I first discovered fanfiction nearly ten years ago. After a year of vague exploration in gen and het fanfic, I slowly made the transition into slash fanfic. As a result, I am one of those wonderful/annoying people (depends who you're talking to) that sees the potential for slashy pairings and subtext in just about everything. In other words, I am always wearing my Slash Goggles.

I started this journal years ago and, after neglecting it for some time, I began using it again for fandom-related purposes. I generally post personal entries in my journal, read and comment on loads of fanfic, and lurk and occasionally post my writing in the various communities I'm a part of. I have written some fic of my own, most of which I'm not terribly proud of, and all of which you can find in this journal. My personal entries are all f-locked, but my fanfic is open to the general public. (DISCLAIMER: I do not claim to own any of the characters I have included in this fanfiction. I do not write for monetary gain, nore do I mean harm or slander against any real individual featured in my fictional writing.) If you would like to have access to all of my entries, you're more than welcome to friend me, however it's best if you drop me a line to let me know who you are so that I can friend you back. I probably won't do so if we've never spoken.

I should warn you that you may find some rather varying entries in this journal, including but not limited to rants, fangirling, lyrics, useless information, YouTube shares, and descriptions of my meals and snacks. My current fannish obsessions are many and varied, and they are almost always changing, but my main fandoms of the moment are Star Trek, Pinto, House, Heroes, and Harry Potter. Some of those are peripheral, while others, mainly Trek and Pinto, have pretty much taken over my life. Please don't be shy; I love getting to know people, so feel free to PM me or comment on an open entry or fic of mine if you'd like to be friends!
